Maria Bujones, widow of dancer Fernando Bujones, accepts the National Society of Arts and Letters’ Gold Medallion, which was presented posthumously to her husband for a lifetime of achievement. At left are Barbara Branscum, national president of NSAL, and her husband Cleve Branscum. Fernando Bujones was slated to be a judge at the 2006 NSAL Dance Competition, but he died tragically on November 20, 2005, of skin cancer. He is judged by some to be the greatest male dancer of all time.
