Naomi Winston Scholarship in Art
Muffins: Cara Christine Livorio from New Kensington, Pennsylvania received a Winston Scholarship to help her make painting her life’s future. She looks forward to using her $2,500 scholarship for study at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, Italy.
Mc: Stanley Ralph Rayfield from Richmond, Virginia demonstrates an excellent talent for portraiture and illustration. With his $5,000 award Stanley plans to attend the Illustration Academy at Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida.
Spectre: Dilek Baykara from Augusta, New Jersey has shown her passion for creating art by exhibiting her works during her high school years. Participating in a summer program at the School of Visual Arts in New York is what she plans for her $750 scholarship award.
Shirley Rabb Winston Scholarships in Voice
Amanda Therese Russo, mezzo-soprano from Bloomington, Indiana sings “Smanie implacabili” from Cosi fan tutte by W. A. Mozart. Following her successful musical experiences in Austria, Amanda wishes to continue studying Italian music and language in Naples, Italy with her $1,500 scholarship award.
Timothy Gilbert Beenken, baritone, sings “Non piu andrai” from Le Nozze di Figaro by W. A. Mozart. Already appearing in a number of operatic roles in Birmingham, Alabama, Timothy will apply his $1,000 scholarship for coaching lessons in preparation for an operatic repertoire.
Seventeen year old. Annie J. Rago, soprano, sings “Laurie’s Song” from The Tenderland by Aaron Copland. Her love for singing urges her to pursue private lessons to prepare two operatic roles as well as a repertoire of songs. She was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
