Voice Competition, Bloomigton 2008

This page contains links to recordings made of the perfomances of the three top contestant in the Voice Competition held during the 2008 NSAL Convention in Bloomington, Indiana. The winners were:

Sarah Mesko, representing the Little Rock Chapter, winner of the NSAL First-Place Award of $10,000.

Nadine Sierra, representing the Boca Raton/South Florida Chapter, winner of the Estelle Campbell Second-Place Award of $8,000.

Sian Davies, representing the Bloomington Chapter, winner of the Nancy Anne Strecker Third-Place Award of $5,000.

At the piano were Shuichi Umeyama, opera coach at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

The recordings come in three flavors, among which you may choose depending on the speed of your Internet connection.

The recordings are in in Windows Media format, and should be readily viewable on computers running Windows with Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player. If you are using a different web browser (under Windows) you might like to verify that your browser is configured to use the Windows Media Player plug-in to handle .wmv files (most browsers configure themselves automatically to do this). In many browsers you find this setting on the Tools menu under Options>Content.

Macintosh users running MacOS X and the QuickTime player, that by itself doesn't handle Windows Media, can download a plug-in for Quicktime that handles Windows Media from: Flip4Mac.
