Washington, DC — Nov. 7, 2019 – The National Society of Arts & Letters has awarded its 2019 drama competition prizes to seven winners, one of whom is St. Louis actor, Abraham Thaddeus Shaw. Shaw, who attended The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University for musical theatre, took home the second-place $12,000, O.D. (Jack) Masters Memorial Award.

He was selected to represent the NSAL St. Louis Chapter nationally after winning first place in its own drama competition.

“Having the honor of winning an NSAL award has pushed me to strive for opportunities outside of my region and audition for shows all over the country,” said Shaw. “I've been able to invest in myself, and the experience of being surrounded by so many talented actors in this competition is something I'll always treasure.”
